First pakistani male astronautics student
International Institute for astronautical sciences
Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Hasaan was selected to join the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS), a globally recognized organization offering astronautics courses to civilians. As part of Class 2501, Hasaan completed hands-on training in IVA spacesuit operations, high-G aerobatic flight, suborbital spacecraft simulation, hypoxia awareness, and scientific imagery flight.
Currently pursuing a degree in
Astrophysics at the University of Toronto,
Hasaan is an active researcher with
multiple projects in exoplanetary science.
Beyond academics, he is working toward
his Private Pilot’s License, holds a scuba
diving license, has skydiving experience,
and is fluent in five languages.
Hasaan is a strong advocate for “Space for
All”, engaging in science outreach through
SEDS Canada and supporting analog
astronaut mission coordination. Through
storytelling, public engagement, and
mentorship, he strives to inspire the next
generation, especially those from
underrepresented backgrounds, to pursue
space exploration and scientific
excellence.
